Providence Engineering

Dana Ziegler has been named president of Providence Engineering, an employee-owned engineering and design firm based in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. Ziegler, who has spent 14 years at the company, was most recently vice president of engineering and operations.

He succeeds David Bernhardt, who has president and CEO of Providence since 2015. Bernhardt will continue as CEO, with a focus on providing strategic oversight and leadership.

Ziegler is the third person to work as president of Providence. He earned a bachelor’s degree in structural design and construction engineering technology from Penn State University.

“This promotion is a testament to his management and leadership skills and to the operational strength of our employee-owned company,” Bernhardt said in a statement.

In addition to its headquarters, Providence has offices in Carlisle, Doylestown, Lewisburg, Pittsburgh, State College, York and St. Petersburg, Florida.
