Podcast: Strengthening Cybersecurity

When people hear about data breaches, they may think the solution is more and better technology: How high can we build that firewall?

After all, it is technology that creates the conditions for data breaches to arise and compromise your personal information.

The solution, however, lies in people, according to Dr. James Norrie, who spoke in late May before the Economics Club of the York County Economic Alliance.

The York College professor has parlayed that insight into a growing startup called cyberconIQ based in downtown York.

He discusses the role people play in cybersecurity — as well as the roots of cyberconIQ — in this edition of the YCEA Podcast produced in partnership with biznewsPA.

The next meeting of the YCEA Economics Club is scheduled for June 28 at the Wyndham Garden York. A panel of real estate experts will provide an update on the local market.
