Keep it coming as a ‘biznewsPA Founding Subscriber’
Since 2020, biznewsPA has been providing free, up-to-date news about Central PA business. To maintain our high standards, we’re upping our game.
2300+ subscribers get local news delivered to their inbox every business day. This free newsletter is entirely supported by ad revenue from our awesome sponsors.
Our goal is to increase our coverage of local business news for the business leaders who value it. While ads will still be an important part of our support, we believe that our readers appreciate our news and insights and would rather not see a newsletter stuffed with even more ads.
So we are starting a paid subscription option that will allow us to increase our local business news coverage in the best way for our readers. To celebrate these upgrades to our newsletter, we will be offering ‘Founding Subscriber’ status for a limited time. Founding Subscribers will get special pricing for joining us as we make this significant change.

I launched biznewsPA in January 2020 with little more than a hunch that I could make it work on a daily basis and that readers would find it. On that score, this daily B2B email newsletter has greatly exceeded expectations:.
The newsletter has grown to more than 2,300 subscribers.
It has been a joy keeping all of those readers up to date, day in and day out, on businesses in Central Pennsylvania. Many have been generous in their praise of my efforts.
‘I look forward to biznewsPA in my inbox each day. I know it will be quick, informative and full of helpful business information surrounding Central PA.’
– Naomi Brown,
principal and senior advisor, Capstone Commercial
The newsletter is entirely supported by ad revenue. It is what got us here. But it may not be the best path forward.
My goal is to increase the depth and breath of business news we consistently provide to the business leaders who value it.
Continuing and expanding our news coverage will require more resources. And a rethinking of my mission.
While ads will continue as part of our support, I believe that our readers would rather see more in-depth local business news and insights than more ads.
So we are starting a paid subscription option that will allow us to increase our local business news coverage in the best way for our readers. This will also provide us the resources to resist the need for more frequent, intrusive ads that take away from the reader experience.
That is why we are adding a paid subscription option.
To introduce these upgrades to our newsletter we are offering ‘Founding Subscriber’ status for a limited time.
Founding Subscribers will get special introductory pricing for joining us as we make this significant change.
I hope you will join me as I work to improve your access to local business news. Promoting the business community in Central Pennsylvania has been central to my business life for so many years. It is a mission I intend to continue. Please join me.

News is everywhere on the internet. BiznewsPA is different.
We don’t just shove out headlines and press releases to our readers. You don’t just get a ticker of headlines. You get context and understanding of what is going on, why it matters and what it means to the big picture.
Our goal is to provide in-depth analysis and explanations. Not just a regurgitation of other people’s writing. We pride ourselves on original reporting because we want to tell the whole story. It takes more work than most people will do. That is where we are different. We do the work to deliver better, more complete stories.
Take for example, the March 2024 article detailing the growth trajectory of Lititz based VR firm MajorMega. A headline service will tell you that they were acquired by a company from Wisconsin.
The article in biznewsPA’s tells the larger story including growing pains, successful projects and relationships from HersheyPark to the Johnson Space Flight Center in Florida. Dynamic local business leaders who have forged relationships with the likes of Paramount. The kind of reporting that puts individual business transactions into the larger context of how business actually works.
Who needs the new version of biznewsPA?

You want to stay ahead of your team. Y also want to make sure each team member has that one piece of information necessary right away to do their job
Community leaders (with their pulse on the business community)
Who is coming and who is going. And where.
Government and Regulators
Business Support (lawyers, accountants, bankers, consultants, real estate, venture capitalists)
What you get… (details)
When, where and how you want it. Desktop, mobile
In the car, in the gym, on your run
What makes this Subscription Worthwhile?…
So much news is available free…
True enough.
What is not free but still has value are these 2 things.
Reading online news from some sources can be really challenging. Excessive pop ups disrupt the experience. Display ads that suddenly ‘appear’ in the middle of an article take focus away from the story. Scrolling is a ‘herky jerky’ experience as ‘non story’ items load and rearrange your screen.
That is not the experience we want for you on biznewsPA. We value your time.
Our email newsletter has extremely limited ads. We never interrupt a story with ads, popups or anything else. We value your time and we know you do too.
We are committed to making sure that the time you devote to biznewsPA is laser focused on relevant local business news. Period.
Bottom line?
We deliver information and relevant insights fast and efficiently.
Better still…it is incredibly inexpensive. Maybe we are being more conservative than we should be.
On the other hand, one valueable piece of information, one detail you would not otherwise learn, one insight is worth waaay more than the subscription price.
